The Alentejo Province is a region of wide plains to the south of the Tagus River (Rio Tejo). In the heart of this region, at a distance of 130 km from Lisbon, lies the city of Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Part of the town is enclosed by ancient walls and has been preserved in its original state, as well as its monuments dating from various historical periods.
This house is located in the Alentejo region close to the beautiful city of Evora. It is within driving distance, about 3 km, to the city. Evora is considered to be one of the most impressive cities in Portugal.The many monuments erected by the major artists of each period now testify to Évora's lively cultural, artistic and historical past. The variety of architectural styles (roman, gothic, manueline, mannerist, baroque), the palaces and even the squares and narrow streets are all part of the rich heritage of this museum-city.
This charming city has a wonderful historic atmosphere with several and excellent restaurants.
This newly constructed one bedroom, one bath, house can accommodate up to four people. It has a modern fully equipped kitchen that includes, stove, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. There is a laundry service available for guests. The tile floors, fireplace and unique panoramic window give this villa a wonderful Alentejo ambiance. The living/dining room area is sunny and bright and includes a television and DVD. There is also a large tiled terrace that runs almost the full length of the house. Four sets of glass French doors from varying rooms open out onto the terrace. Part of the terrace is covered and functions as an outdoor dining area with barbeque. that is surrounded by olive trees. After a day of sightseeing you can enjoy a candle light dinner, quiet conversation or a refreshment in the pool (sort of a reservoir) nearby in the same property.
The location of this house makes it a great spot for a small family or couple of friends traveling together yet desiring privacy.
