Casa Mil Cores is a charming, traditional house located in the beautiful, rolling hills of west region of Lisbon. The Casa has been carefully refurbished in a comfortable, country style with all modern amenities. Situated on 500 sqm acres, casa Mil Cores provides the perfect rural retreat and offers paths for hiking, biking, and exploring. Also available to guests are a swimming pool (open June through September),and a barbecue area for al fresco dining. The house is located in the heart of the small village of Carvalhal where everything is easy walking distance, and further a field are larger towns for all essential shopping needs.
Casa Mil Cores features a large, sunny, open-plan living area with beamed ceilings, tilde floors, comfortable sofa and chairs, fireplace, and dining table for eight. The five bedrooms are nicely appointed and three of them have glass windows that leads to a large varanda which overlooks the swimming pool and the hills surronding the property. Two outside terraces (one covered) provide perfect venues for enjoying an after-dinner aperitif and lively conversation. Characteristic stone and ancient wall, divides the property from the neighbours and bring extra charm to this rural property.
Casa Mil Cores consists of two floors, all recently renovated with authentic details. The lower floor consists of a large, tiled living area with fireplace and comfortable furniture, dining-room with an amazing mix of colours, a well-equipped kitchen (stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker), and a room with bunkbed ensuite with a bathroom with shower. An half bathroom is also available for guest´s use. Once entering the front door it opens over a large entrance hall
The top floor offers both triple and a single bedrooms sharing a complete bathroom with bathtub. On the same floor but in a separate spacious area there is a zone with a secretary, the main suite with a double bed, and a beautiful bathroom with bath tub and shower. Over the window we can see a Glicinias tree from the property in front,with marvellous violet flowers. The last room consists of a family/media room offering a DVD and CD players with a sofa bed.
Dotted with medieval towns like the imperdivel Obidos LINK and silent hermitages, the West zone have just as much to offer as other regions that may be more famous. In the area you need only travel a few kilometers to discover places of unspoild wilderness, beautiful beaches LINK BALEAL,or properties named "quintas" that can be visited, famous for its wine production, like "Loridos" which also has an impressive recent built garden called "Budha Eden"

At the end of the journey, one thing is certain: West zone has a true vocation for beauty, reinventing itself fashionable (being improved) but without overdoing it, has much to offer visitors: sport, culture, museums, epicurean delights, blue ocean waters, sandy beaches and musical events of international renown.
